Saxifraga Stolonifera
Saxifraga Stolonifera
The Saxifraga Stolonifera, sometimes known as the Strawberry Begonia, is in fact not at all related to the Begonia. It is a creeping plant that bushes out before growing long strings that develop baby plants at the end. They will root if they touch soil or can be taken off to propagate more plants. It is therefore perfect for hanging baskets. The plant can live in a sheltered outdoor position, out of frost and direct sun, but if very bright will flower with beautiful white and pink speckled flowers. Inside, this plant likes a very bright position out of harsh light and heat and does not like to be left to dry out completely. This plant is propagated and grown by Verdant Dwellings.
