Amorphophallus Konjac 'Voodoo Lily'
Amorphophallus Konjac 'Voodoo Lily'
The Amorphophallus Konjac 'Voodoo Lily' is a rare bulb plant that roots and grows in the warmer months of the year. In Autumn it will die back and become dormant until the next season and the stem can be cut off if it doesn’t fall by itself. It is expected that the root system will disappear when dormant and regrow each Spring. Once it reaches mature bulb size, it will grow a deep burgundy flower spike in warmer months, well known for its pungent odour. It also proliferates bulbs meaning you can have multiple plants over time. This is a rare and special plant that is not often available. The Konjac likes a bright position and damp but not wet and boggy soil and can be left mostly dry through Winter after the spike has died off. Begin dampening the soil again in Spring to encourage growth. This plant is propagated and grown by Verdant Dwellings.
